2018 Reading Challenge: Bingo!

2018 Reading Challenge: Bingo!

This week marks the start of our annual reading challenge, and this year it’s BINGO!

How it works:

  1. Pick up a bingo card at the library. Put your name on it. (Hint: take a pic of your bingo card in case you lose it!)
  2. Start reading! Each square on the bingo board corresponds to one of the prompts on this doc. Strategize your path to a bingo. The books that you read:
    Must all be new to you in 2018 (with the exception of the center square);
    Each book can only be counted once (for one bingo square);
    Don’t have to come from Casti library, but we have plenty of recommendations;
    If you’re not sure if a book will count for a square, check with a librarian.
  3. Keep a file (digital or on paper) of all of your responses to the prompts, including the title and author of the books you’ve read. NOTE: For each item that includes a question, write no less than 3 and no more than 5 sentences.
  4. Once you completed an unbroken line (bingo!) horizontally, vertically, or diagonally on your card, bring your card and the file you’ve been keeping to the library to claim a prize!If you want to keep going, you can earn bingo multiple times on the same card. Hint: it gets easier as you fill in squares! Feeling impressive? You can go for “blackout”: complete all of the 25 squares on your bingo card to win a special prize!

Come into the library to get your card and get started!
