Edible Book Festival Frequently Asked Questions:

When does the Edible Book Festival start?

The Edible Book Festival goes from 3:30pm to 6pm. However, many items will be on display starting Monday morning.

What if I cannot come in the afternoon? Can I still make an entry?

Yes. You do not have to be present at the after-school Festival to make an entry, you just have to be able to bring your entry into the library on Monday. We open a bit early to make it easier to drop entries off before school, and accept entries until 3:30.

Can I make something with my friend?

Yes, you can make an entry by yourself, with family, or with friends.

Can my family participate?

Yes. All family members are welcome to make entries together and all family members are welcome to join us at the Festival, from 3:30-6:00pm Monday afternoon.

Can I bring people from outside the school?

Family member are most welcome to join you!

When do I bring in the stuff?

The library will be open to accept entries beginning at 7:30am on Monday. Please come a bit early so that you have time to check in properly with us and still not be late to class. You are welcome to submit entries all day until 3:30.

Does everything in it have to be edible?

Yes, the whole entry should be edible. (Except the plate 😉 .)

Do I have to have a book to make an entry about it?

No. We would prefer that you bring the book, if you are able. However, we can use the library’s edition or print out the cover, if need be.

What if I have a sport?

You are still welcome to enter the competition, come in at break or lunch to view entries, and visit the library during Little C. If you get out of your sports before 6pm, please feel free to return to the library.

Can I win if I am not there?

Competition: If you enter the Edible Book Festival competition and your entry gets the most votes, you can win a coveted spatula.

Stuffy: For the raffle drawing to win the soft serve stuffy, you must be present to win.
